EDGING SAFETY
W ARNING:
Inspect the area to be
edged before each use. Remove objects
(r ocks, br oken gla ss, na ils , wire , s t r ing, e tc. )
which can be thrown by the blade or can wrap
around the shaft.

Keep o thers including children, animals, by-
standers, and h elpers at least 50 feet (15 me-
ters) away. Stop th e unit immediately if you
are approached.

Hold the unit f irmly w ith both hand s.
S
Keep firm footing and balance. Do no t over-
reach o r stand on unstable surfaces.

Always keep the wheel in contact with the
ground.
S
Keep all parts of your body away from the
blade and m uffler .

Always push the unit slowly over the ground.
Stay alert for uneven sidewalks, holes in the
terrain, large r oots, etc.

Do not force th e unit. Use only for jobs ex-

Do not ab use unit. Do n ot use in rain or wet
