whereitisnotexposedtodust,dirt,moisture,orcor-
rosivevapors.Donotallowthecoolingairslotsinthe
generatortobecomecloggedwithforeignmaterialsuch
asleaves,snow,etc.
Donotuseagardenhosetocleanthegenerator.Water
enteringthefuelsystemorotherinternalpartsofthe
unitcancauseproblemsthatwilldecreasethelifeofthe
generator.
Tocleantheunit:
■ Useasoftbristlebrushand/orvacuumcleanerto
loosenandremovedirtanddebris.
■ Cleanairventswithlowpressureairthatdoesnot
exceed25psi.
■ Wipetheexteriorsurfacesofthegeneratorwitha
dampcloth.
CLEANING/REPLACINGAIRFILTERS
Forproperperformanceandlonglife,keepairfiltersclean:
■ Releasetheupperandlowerretainingclipsand
removetheairfiltercover.
Removetheouterfilterelementandtheinner■
precleanerelement.
■ Ifthefilterelementsaredirty,cleanwithwarm,soapy
water.Rinseandletdry.
Applyalightcoatofengineoiltotheelements,then■
squeezeitout.
Putthefilterelementsbacktogetherandreplace■
intheairfiltercompartment,beingcarefultoplace
theouterfilterelementclosesttotheairfiltercover.
■ Replacethecoverandsnapretainingclipsbackin
placetosecure.
NOTE:Donotrunthegeneratorwithouttheairfilters.

Reinstalltheoildrainageboltandtightensecurely.
