OPERATION
Ifusinganoxygenatedfuel,makesureitisunleaded
andmeetstheminimumoctaneratingrequirements.
Beforeusinganoxygenatedfuel,trytoconfirmthefuel抯
contents.Somestates/provincesrequirethisinformation
tobepostedonthepump.ThefollowingaretheEPA
approvedpercentagesofoxygenates:
Ethanol(ethylorgrainalcohol)10%byvolume. You
mayusegasolinecontainingupto10%ethanolby
volume.Gasolinecontainingethanolmaybemarketed
underthenameasohol.“G ”
MTBE(methyltertiarybutylether)15%byvolume.
Youmayusegasolinecontainingupto15%MTBEby
volume.
Methanol(methylorwoodalcohol)5%byvolume.
Youmayusegasolinecontainingupto5%methanol
byvolumeaslongasitalsocontainscosolventsand
corrosioninhibitorstoprotectthefuelsystem.Gasoline
containingmorethan5%methanolbyvolumemay
causestartingand/orperformanceproblems.Itmayalso
damagemetal,rubber,andplasticpartsofthegenerator
oryourfuelsystem.
Ifyounoticeanyundesirableoperatingsymptoms,try
anotherservicestationorswitchtoanotherbrandof
gasoline.
NOTE:Fuelsystemdamageorperformanceproblems
resultingfromtheuseofanoxygenatedfuelcontaining
morethanthepercentagesofoxygenatesmentioned
abovearenotcoveredunderwarranty.
WARNING:
Onalevelsurfacewiththeengineoff,checktheoil
levelbeforeeachuseofthegenerator.
