Follow the mix instructions foundon stabiliz-
er containers. Run engine at least 5 minutes
after adding stabilizer.
Poulan/WEED E ATER 40:1, 2-cycle engine
oil (air cooled) is blended with fuelstabilizer .
If you do not use t h is oil, you can add a fuel
stabilizer to your fuel tank.
HELPFUL TIP
During storageof your gas/
oil m ixture, the oilwillsepa-
rate from the gas.
We recommend that you
shake the gas can weekly
to insureproper blendingof
the gas and oil.
ENGINE
S Remove spark plug and pour 1 teaspoon
of 40:1, 2-cycle engine oil (air cooled)
through the spark plug opening. Slowly
pullthe starter rope 8to 10 tim es todistrib-
ute oil.
S Replace spark plug with new one of rec-
ommended ty pe and heat range.
S Clean air filter.
S Check entire unit for loose screws, nuts,
and bolts. R eplace any damaged, broken,
or worn parts.
S At the beginning of the next season, use
only fresh fuel having the proper gasoline
to oil ratio.
OTHER
S Do not store gasoline from one season to
another.
S Replace your gasoline can if it starts to
rust.
TROUBLE CAUSE REMEDY
Engine will not
start or w ill run
only a few
seconds after
starting.
1. Ignition switch of f.
2. Engine flooded.
3. Fuel tank em pty.
4. Spark plug not firing.
5. Fuel not reaching
carburetor.
1. Move ignition switch to ON.
2. See “Difficult Starting” in
Operation Section.
3. Fill tank wi th correct fuel mixture.
4. Install new spark plug.
5. Check for dirty fuel filter; replace.
Check for kinked or split fuel line;
repair or replace.
Engine will
not idle
properly.
1. Idle speed r equires
adjustment.
2. Carburetor requires
adjustment.

2. Contact an authorized service dealer.
1. Air filter dirty.
2. Spark plug fouled.
3. Chain brake engaged.

a load.
1. Clean or replace a ir filter.
2. Clean or replace p lug and regap.
3. Disengage c hain brake.
4. Contact an authorized service dealer.
Engine
smokes
excessively.
1. Too m uch oil mixed with
gasoline.
1. Empty fuel tank and refill with
correct fuel mixture.
