do not use in r ain, in damp o r wet l ocation s, or
around swimming pools, hot tubs, etc. Do not
expose to snow, rain, or wate r to avoid the pos-

D
To reduce the risk of electrical shock, use
extension cords specifically marked as
suitable for outdoor appliances. The elec-

the rating of the unit. The cord must be
marked with the suffix “W-A” (in Canada,
“W”). Make sure your extension cord is in
good condition. Inspect extension cord be-
fore use andreplace if dam aged.Anunder-
sized extension cord will cause a drop in
line voltage r esulting i n loss of power and
overheating. Ifin doubt,use thenextheavi-
er gauge. The smaller the gauge number,
the heavier the cord.
D
Do not use multiple cords.
D
The powerhead may have a polarized pl ug
(one blade is wider than the other); if so, it
will require theuse ofa polarized extension
cord. Theapplianceplugwill fit intoa polar-
ized extension cord only one way. If the
plug does not fit fully into the extension
cord, reverse the plug. If the plug still does
not fit, obtain a correct polarized extension
cord. A polarized extension cord will re-
quire theuseof apolarizedwall outlet. This
plug will fit intothe polarizedwall outletonly
oneway. Ifplug doesnotfit fully intothewall
outlet, reverse the pl ug. Ifit still does notfit,
contact a qualified electrician to install the
properwall outlet. Donotchangetheequip-
ment plug, extension cord receptacle, or
extension cord plug in any way.
D
Do not a ttempt torepair u nit. Inspect the insu-
lation and connectors on the powerhead and
extension cord be fore each use. If there is
any da mage, d o not use unt il damage i s r e-
paired b y your authorized service dealer.
D
Do not pu ll or carry by cord; do not use c ord
as a han dle, close a door on cord, o r pull cord
around sharp edges or corners. Keep cord
