OPERATION

ON/STOP SWITCH
The ON /ST OP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THR OTTLE TR IGG ER c ontrols engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCK--OUT
The T HRO TTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressed befor e y ou can squeeze the throttle
trigger. This feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing t he trigger.
F A ST IDLE LOCK
The FAST ID LELOCK hol dsthe throttletrigger
in the star ting p o s itio n . Activate the fast idle
lock by pressing the throttle lockout and
squeezing the throttle trigger. With the throttle
trigger squeezed, press t he f ast i dle l ock. Re-
lease thethrottlelockout andtriggerwhilehold-
ing the fast idle lo c k button.
CHOKE KNOB
The CH OKE KNOB activates the choke to
provideadditional fueltotheengine dur ingcold
starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PR IM ER BULB circulate s fuel to the car-
buretor to provide qui cker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The C H AIN BR AKE is a device designed to
stop the c hain if kickback occur s. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manually
if the front hand guard is pushed for w ar d. The
chain brake is disengaged by pulling the f r ont
hand guardback towardthe fronthandle asfar
as possi ble.
CHAIN TENSION
Itisnormalforanewchain tostretchduringfirst
30 minutes of operation. Yo u should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the SERVICE AND AD-
JUSTMENTS s ection.
WARNING:
Muffler is very hot dur-
ing and after use. Donot touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
