ER. OWNER’S WARRANTY RESPONSIBI-
LITIES: As the small of f--road engine engine
owner, y ou ar e responsible for the perfor-
mance of the required maintenance listed in
your Ow ner’s Manual. PO ULAN /W EED EAT-
ER recommends that you retain all r eceipts
covering maintenance on y our small of f--road
engine, but POULAN/WEED EATER cannot
deny warranty solely for the l ackof r eceipts or
for your failure toensure the performance ofall
scheduled maintenance. As the small of f--
road engine engine owner, you should be
awar e that POULAN/WEED EATER may
deny you warr anty coverage if your sm all off--
roadengine engine ora partof it hasfailed due
to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance, un-
approved modifications, or the use of parts not
made or approved by the or iginal equipment
manufacturer. Youareresponsible forpresent-
ing y our small of f--road engine t o a POULAN/
WEED EA TER authorized repair center as
soon as a p roblem exists. Warranty repairs
should be completed in a r easonable a mount

RANTY COMMENCEMENT DA TE: The
war ranty period begins on the date the small

COVERAGE: Thiswarrantyshall beforaperi-
od of two year s from the initial date o f pur-
chase. WHAT IS COVERED: REPA IR OR
REPLACEMENT OF PARTS. Repair or r e-
placement of any warranted par t will be per-
formed at no char ge to the owner at an ap-

Any warranted part which is not scheduled for
replacement as r equired maintenance, or
which i s scheduled only f or regular inspection
to the ef fect of “ r epair o rreplace asnecessary”
shall be war ranted for 2 years. A ny war r anted
part which is scheduled forreplacement asre-
quired maintenance shall b e warr anted f or the
periodof time upto the first scheduled replace-
ment point for that part. DIAGNOSIS: The
ownershall not be char gedfor diagnostic labor
which leads to the determination that a war-
ranted part is defective if thediagnostic wor kis
performed at an approved POULAN /W EED
EATER ser vicing center. CONSEQUENTIAL
DAMAGES: POU LAN/WEED EATER may
be l iable f or damages to other engine compo-
nents caused by the failure of a w arr antedpart
still under w arr anty. WH AT IS NOT COV-
ERED: All failures c aused by abuse, neglect,
or improper maintenance are not covered.
ADD--ON OR MODIFIED P ARTS: Theuse of
add--on or m odified parts can be grounds for
disallowing awarr anty claim.POULAN/WEED
EATER is not liable to cover failures of war-
ranted parts caused by the use of add--on or
