ON/STOP SWITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCKOUT
The TH R O TTLE L O C KO U Tmust bepressed
before you can squeeze the throttle trigger.
This feature prevents you from accidentally
squeezing the trigger.
CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER
The ch ok e and fast id le are s et by pulling the
CHOKE/FAST IDL E LEVER o u t fu lly for cold
or refueled star ting. The choke provides addi-
tional fuel to the engi ne during cold starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB c irculates fuel to the
carburetor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is adevice designed t o
stop the chain if kickback occurs. Thechain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manu-
ally if thefront hand guard ispushed forward.
The chain brake is disengaged bypulling the
front hand guard back toward the front han-
dle as far as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
Itisnormalforanewchain tostretch dur ingfirst
30 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLY s ection.
WARNING:
Muffler is very hot dur-
ing andafter use. Donot touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
