fective ora defect i nthe m aterials orworkman-
ship ofthe engine causesthe failureof suchan
emission related par t, the par t w ill be repaired
or replaced by Poulan/W eed Eater. OWN-
ER’S WARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES: As
the lawn and garden equipment engine owner,
you are r esponsible for the performance of the
required maintenance l isted in your Owner’ s
Manual. Poulan/Weed Eater r ecomm endsthat
youretainall receiptscovering maintenanceon
your lawn and garden equipment engine, but
Poulan/Weed Eater cannot deny w arr anty
solely for the lac k of rec e ip ts orfor your failur e
to ensure the performance of all scheduled
maintenance. As the lawn and garden equi p-
ment engine ow ner, you should be a war e that
Poulan/Weed Eater may deny you w arr anty
coverage if your lawn and garden equipm ent
engine or a part of i t has failed due to abuse,
neglect, improper maintenance, unapproved
modifications, or the use of par ts not made or
approved by the o r iginal equipment manufac-
turer. You are r esponsible for pr esenting your
lawn and garden equipment engine to a Pou-
lan/Weed Eater authorized repair center as
soon as a p roblem exists. Warr anty repairs
should be c om pleted in a r easonable amount
of time,not to exceed30 days. If youhave any

uled for replacement as r equir ed maintenance
shall be w ar r anted for the period of time up to
the first scheduled replacement point for that
part. DIAGNOSIS: The o w ner shall not be
charged for d iagnostic labor w hich leads tothe
determination thata war r antedpart isdefective
if the diagnostic work is performed at an ap-
proved Poulan/Weed E ater ser vicing center.
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES: Poulan/
WeedEater m aybeliable fordamagestoother
engine components caused by the failure of a
war ranted part still under w ar r anty. WHAT IS
NOTCOVERED:All failurescaused byabuse,
neglect, or improper maintenance ar e not cov-
ered. ADD--ON OR MODIFIED PARTS: The
use of add--on or modified parts can b e
grounds for d isallowing a war r anty claim. Pou-
lan/Weed Eater is not liable to c over failures of
warr anted par ts caused by the use of add--on
