ON/STOP SWITCH
The ON /ST OP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THR O TTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCK--OUT
The THROTTLE LOC K--OU T must be
pressed befor e y ou can squeeze the throttle
trigger. This feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing t he t r igger.
F A ST IDLE LOCK
The F AST IDLE LOCK holds the thr ottle trigger
in the starting p osition. Activa te the fast idle
lock by pr essing the thr ottle lockout and
squeezing the throttle trigger. W ith the throttle
trigger squeezed, press the fast idle lock. R e-
lease the throttle lockout and trigger while hold-
ing the fast idle lock b u tto n.
CHOKE KNOB
The CH O KE KNO B activates the choke to
provide additional fuel to the engine during cold
starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIM ER BUL B circu late s fuel to the car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The C H AIN BR AKE is a device designed to
stop the chain if kickback occur s. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manually
if the front hand guard is pushed forward. The
chain b r ak e is disengaged by pulling the front
hand guard back toward the front handle as far
as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
It is normalfora new chain to stretch during first
30 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLY s ection.
WARNING:
Muffler is very hot dur-
ing and after use. Do not touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
