General Inspection Prior to Operation
Ground Power Tools
When using power tools or electrical equipment requireing AC
power from the generator, make sure connecting (power tool)
cable (Figure 5) has a ground as shown in Figure.
Extension Cable
When electric power is to be provided to various tools or loads
at some distance from the generator, extension cords are
normally used. Cables should be sized to allow for distance in
length and amperage so that the voltage drop between the
generator and point of use (load) is held to a minimum. Use
the cable selection chart (Table 4) as a guide for selecting
proper cable size.
Main Circuit Breaker
To protect the generator from an overload always place the
main circuit breaker in the "OFF" position prior to starting the
engine.
