OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS
Programming Multiple S.A.M.E. County Codes
1. Press the MENU button to open menu options.
2. Press the
UP " " or DOWN " " buttons to scroll through menu options until
“County Code” is displayed.
3. Press the
SELECT button and then the UP " " or DOWN " " buttons to
scroll through “SINGL COUNTY”, “MULTI COUNTY” or “ALL COUNTY”.
4. Choose “MULTI COUNTY”, and press the
SELECT button.
5. Use the
UP " " or DOWN " " buttons to scroll through code locations 1-23.
(You are able to program up to 23 different county codes into your radio).
6. Choose the location you want and press the
SELECT button. The first digit
space will start blinking.
7. Use the
UP " " or DOWN " " buttons to scroll through the digits 0-9. Input
the first digit and press the
RIGHT> button to save that selection and move
to the next digit.
8. Continue programming all 6 digits this way. When finished, press the
SELECT
button and your entered code will be saved.
9. To program your next code, press the
UP " " button to go to the next code
location.
10. When you have entered all your desired codes, press the
MENU button to
store your settings.
Deleting the County Code
1. Press the
MENU button and program the county code following above
“Programming a Single S.A.M.E. County code” and “Programming Multiple
S.A.M.E county code” sections.
2. Set all 6 digits to “-- -- -- -- -- --“ (blank).
Choosing an Alert (Voice or Siren)
1. Press the MENU button to open menu options.
2. Press
UP " " or DOWN " " buttons until “Alert Mode” is displayed on the
screen.
3. Press the
SELECT button and “VOICE” will start blinking on the screen.
4. To choose the voice alert, press the
SELECT button.
5. Once “VOICE” is chosen, the alert will sound for eight (8) seconds followed by 2
to 5 minutes of weather broadcast.
6. To choose a siren alert, press the
UP " " or DOWN " " buttons until
“SIREN” blinks on the screen press the
SELECT button to save this setting.
7. Once “SIREN” is chosen, alert tones will sound for 2 to 5 minutes or until the
ALERT ON / OFF button is pressed. While alert tone is sounding, press the
WEATHER/HAZARD ON/OFF button to listen the voice broadcasting.
8. During voice or siren alert, press the
ALERT ON/OFF button to stop the alert.
