WORKING TECHNIQUES
S Do not allow the trimmer head to con --
stantly come into contact with the ground
during normal cutting. Constant contact
of this ty pe can cause damage and wear
to the trimmer head.
Sweeping
S The fan effect of the rotating line can be
used for quick and easy clear ing up.
Hold the trimmer line parallel to and
above the area to be swept and move
the tool to and fro.
S When cutting and sweeping you should
use full throttle to obtain the best results.
W ARNING: Neithe r the operat or
of the machi ne nor anyone else may
attempt to remove the cut mater ial
while the engine is ru nni ng or the
trimmer line is rotating, as this can
result in seri ous injury. Stop the
engine and tr immer head bef ore you
remove mate rial that has wou nd
around the drive shaft as otherwise
there is a risk of injury . The bevel
gear can get hot during use and may
remain so fo r a whil e aft erwar ds. Y ou
could get burn ed if you tou ch it.
W ARNING: W a tch out for thrown
objects . Al ways wear eye pr otectio n.
Never lean over the cutting attach-
ment guard. Stones, rubbish, etc.

Keep unauthorized persons at a dis-
tance. Ch ildren , ani mals, onloo kers
and helpers should be kept outside
thesafetyzoneof 15metres. Stop
the machin e immedi ately if anyo ne
