Give special attention to logs under
stress to prevent the bar and chain from
pinching.
Types of Cutting Used
Overbucking
Begin on the top side of the log with the
bottom of the saw against the log; exert
light pressure downward. Note that the
saw will tend to pull away from you.
Underbucking
Begin on the under side of the log with
the top of the saw against the log; exert
light pressure upward. During
underbucking, the saw will tend to push
back at you. Be prepared for this reac-
tion and hold the saw firmly to maintain
control.
OPERATION
Logs Under Stress
• Make the first bucking cut (F) 1/3 of
the way through the log and finish
with a 2/3 cut (G) on the opposite
side. As the log is being cut, it will
tend to bend. The saw can become
pinched or hung in the log if you make
the first cut deeper than 1/3 of the
diameter of the log.
UTILISATION

• Entailler le premier tronçon sur un tiers
du diamètre (F) et finir l’opération par
une entaille des deux tiers du diamètre
(G) du côté opposé. La bille a tendance
à se courber au fur et à mesure qu’on la
coupe. Si la première coupe dépasse
un tiers du diamètre en profondeur, la
tronçonneuse risque de rester coincée
dans le bois.
Faire particulièrement attention au bois qui
est sous tension afin d’éviter que la chaîne
et le guide-chaîne soient bloqués.
Types de tronçonnage
Tronçonnage par le haut
Commencer par le dessus de la bille en
exerçant une légère pression vers le bas
avec la partie inférieure de la chaîne. Il faut
noter que la tronçonneuse a tendance à
s’écarter de l’opérateur.
Tronçonnage par le bas
Commencer par le dessous de la bille en
exerçant une légère pression vers le haut
avec la partie supérieure de la chaîne. Pen-
dant ce genre de coupe, l’appareil a
tendance a être repoussé vers l’utilisateur.
Il faut s’y préparer et tenir fermement la
tronçonneuse afin d’en conserver le contrôle.
OPERACIÓN
Leños sometidos a tensión
• Efectúe el primer corte del tronco (F) con
una profundidad de 1/3 del leño y finalice
con el corte de los restantes 2/3 (G) en el
lado opuesto. A medida que se vaya
cortando el leño, tenderá a doblarse. Si
el primer corte efectuado tiene una
profundidad superior a 1/3 del diámetro
del leño es posible que la sierra se
quede enganchada o colgada del leño.
Preste especial atención a aquellos leños
que se encuentren sometidos a tensión para
evitar que tanto la barra como la cadena se
queden atrapadas.
Tipos de corte utilizados
Corte del tronco por la parte supe-
rior
Empiece por el lado superior del leño con la
parte inferior de la sierra contra el leño;
ejerza una ligera presión hacia abajo. Tener
en cuenta que la sierra tenderá a moverse
en dirección opuesta a usted.
Corte del tronco por la parte inferior
Empiece por la parte inferior del leño con la parte
superior de la sierra contra el leño; ejerza una
ligera presión hacia arriba. Durante el corte del
tronco por la parte inferior, la sierra tenderá a
empujar hacia atrás en su dirección. Esté
preparado para esta reacción y sujete la sierra
firmemente para mantener el control.
