Filling the Fuel:
Prior to the initial use of the Chipper/Shredder, the fuel tank MUST be lled with 1.
approximately one half gallon of unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86
or higher.
Remove the Fuel Tank Cap and ll the fuel tank with unleaded gasoline. Then, 2.
replace the Fuel Tank Cap. When necessary, rell the Fuel Tank.
Draining The Fuel Tank and Carburetor:
Place an approved gasoline container below the carburetor. Be prepared to hold a 1.
funnel beneath the Drain Bolt to direct the gasoline into the container.
Remove Drain Bolt and Sediment Cup and move the Fuel Valve lever to the “ON” 2.
position.
After the Fuel has drained, reinstall the Drain Bolt and Sediment Cup. 3.
NOTE: Periodically check the Sediment Cup for excessive dirt and debris, when neces-
sary clean with nonammable solvent.
Air Filter
Remove the Wing Nut and Air Cleaner Cover.1.
Carefully remove the plastic grid and foam air lter from the 2.
bottom of the cover.
Wash the air lter in warm water with a mild, non-fuel-3.
reactive detergent, rinse with clean water and allow to dry
completely.
Wipe the inside of the air cleaner base and cover using a 4.
moist towel.
Return the clean (or new) air lter to the Air Cleaner Cover 5.
and put plastic grid back in place.
