Reinstall the Air Cleaner, making sure that the gasket is in place.6.
Spark Plug
Recommended spark plugs: BPR6ES (NGK
®
), W20EPR-U (Denso
®
), or equivalent.
To check the spark plug. Disconnect the spark plug cap and remove the spark 1.
plug with a 13/16” spark plug wrench.
Inspect the spark plug, if electrodes are worn or insulator is chipped or cracked, 2.
replace the spark plug.
The gauge for the spark plug gap should be set to 0.028-0.031”. 3.
Install the spark plug with a 13/16” spark plug wrench and connect spark plug cap.4.
CHIPPER/SHREDDER OPERATION
Before Starting
Use safety equipment. Always wear ANSI approved safety impact goggles and 1.
hearing protection, heavy duty work gloves, and a dust mask or respirator when
using this product.
Check underneath the Chipper/Shredder to make sure there are no spots that 2.
would indicate an oil or gas leak. If there are any leaks, do not use the Chipper/
Shredder and contact a qualied repair professional for maintenance.
Inspect the condition of the Chipper/Shredder. Ensure that all shields and covers 3.
are in place. Check for loose screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts,
cracked or broken parts, and any other condition that may affect the safe operation
of the machine. If abnormal noise or vibration occurs, have the problem corrected
before further use. Do not use damaged equipment. Place on a at, level surface.
Check the oil level. Never run the Engine with low or no engine oil. Running the 4.
engine with low or no oil will permanently damage the Engine.
Starting Engine
Move the Fuel Valve lever to the “ON” position. 1.
To start a cold engine, move the Choke lever to the “CLOSED” position. If the en-2.
gine is already warmed up, leave the Choke lever in the “OPEN” position.
Move the Throttle lever about 1/3 of the way toward the “FAST” position. 3.
Turn the On/Off Switch to the “ON” position.4.
Take hold of the Starter Recoil Grip rmly and pull slowly until there is resistance, 5.
then pull briskly to start engine. Repeat as necessary.
