Bring the engine to full throttle before entering the
material to be cut. The blade has maximum cutting power
at full throttle and is less likely to bind, stall or cause
blade thrust.
Place yourself in a well balanced position, stable on
both feet.
Cut while swinging the upper part of your body from left
to right. Swing the unit in the same direction as the blade
spins, which increases the cutting action.
Always release the throttle trigger and allow the engine to
return to idle speed when not cutting.
Do not hit stones (even small ones), piles of earth, and
small pieces of wood or anything else that could be
hidden or poorly visible in the grass. If you hit a large
object by accident, or if you block the cutting tool due to
overloading or having the cutter jammed with grass, you
must stop the engine.
Put the petrol brush cutter on the ground and check that
the cutting tool has not been damaged and if necessary
replace the cutting tool. If the tool is only wrapped around
something, use gloves and remove the material and
clean the cutting tool.
CAUTION. Always wear safety gloves for this operation.
To reduce the chance of material wrapping around the
blade cut at full throttle. Swing the unit into the material
to be cut, and avoid material just cut as you make the
return swing.
NOTE. All protective devices of the machine as well as
protective equipment must be maintained in good operation
condition during the period of use.
Petrol brush cutter transmit vibrations to the operator during
use. These vibrations can generate increased fatigue.
For this reason, we recommend taking regular breaks
during work. We also recommend taking a break after a
few hours of work to rest the engine. If abnormal noise or
vibration occurs during operation, turn the brush cutter off
immediately and have the problem corrected.
Use with the brush cutting blade
Cut the grass like you are in a corridor about 1.5m wide.
Move step by step, moving the machine from left to right
and vice-versa. Make sure at each step that you are still
well balanced on your feet.
WARNING: Blade thrust may occur when the spinning
blade contacts an object that it does not immediately cut.
Blade thrust can be violent enough to cause the unit and/or
operator to be propelled in any direction, and possibly loose
control of the unit. Blade thrust can occur without warning if
the blade snags, stalls or binds. It is more likely to occur in
areas where it is difficult to see the material being cut.
Use with the line trimming head
Cut the grass like you are in a corridor about 1.5m wide.
Move step by step, moving the machine from left to right
and vice-versa. Make sure at each step that you are still
well balanced on your feet.
The line trimmer has a bump feed mechanism which
releases line without having to stop the engine. To release
additional line lightly tap the cutting line and spool assembly
(4) on the ground while operating the unit at high speed.
NOTE. Always keep the trimming line fully extended.
Line release becomes more difficult as the cutting line
becomes shorter.
Each time the head is bumped it releases approximately
2cm of line. The cut off knife (5) on the blade guard will
automatically cut off any excess line. For best results tap
the head on hard soil or bare ground.
Replacement of the cutting line
1. Stop the engine.
2. Put the petrol line trimmer on the
floor in a way that cutting line and
spool assembly (2) is facing up.
3. Open the cutting line and
spool assembly (2) by holding
the spool housing firmly while
rotating the bump knob clockwise (Fig. R).
