MODEL ZTR 5421 DRIVE SYSTEM ADJUSTMENTS
TWISTED BELT ADJUSTMENT:
1. Check routing of belt P/N 1860 from engine to triple drive pulley P/N 1850. Belt must be
routed inside of welded tab on engine mount. Incorrect routing will result in a loss of
clutching action when parking brake is engaged.
NOTE:
L-rod P/N 1685 acts as a belt guide and does not require a "nut" on the
threaded end which passes through the welded tab on the chassis.
2. Engage parking brake. Start engine. Move throttle control to 1/2-3/4 maximum engine
speed setting.
