Belt Replacement
Auger Belt
NOTE: It is not necessary to remove both belts in order to change
either one. If changing just one belt, be certain to check the
condition of the other belt.
1. Allow the engine to run until it is out of fuel. Do not
attempt to pour fuel from the engine. Remove the key to
avoid unintended starting.
2. Remove the plastic belt cover at the front of the engine by
removing the two self-tapping screws. See Figure 7-1.

3. Tip the snow thrower up and forward so that it rests on its
auger housing.
4. Remove the frame cover from the underside of the snow
thrower by removing the self-tapping screws which secure
it. See Figure 7-2.

5. Roll the auger belt off the engine pulley. See Figure 7-3.
