Replacing Fuse
Theelectricstartercircuitandbatteryareprotectedbya 40 ampere
fuse.If thefuseburnsout,theelectricstarterwill notoperate.Ifthe
unitfailsto startwiththeelectricstarter,performthefollowingstepsto
checkthefuseinsidethebatteryhousing:
1. Openthebatterycoverasdescribedin ReplacingBattery.See
Figure19.
2. Removefusefromsocketandinspectasshownin Figure22.If it
isburnedout, replacewith standardautomotive40amperefuse.
3. Carefullyplacewiringbackintohousing,closebatterycover,and
foldupperhandlebackintoplace.
NOTE:Theenginecanbe startedmanuallyifthefuseburnsout.
