CHIPPER CHUTE
Allowstwigsandsmallbranchesup to3" indiameterto befed intothe
impellerfor chipping.SeeFigure9.
Theoperationof anychippershreddercan resultinforeignobjects
beingthrownintotheeyes,whichcan damageyoureyesseverely.
Alwayswearthesafetyglassesprovidedwiththisunitor eye shields
beforechippingor shreddingandwhileperformingany adjustments
or repairs.

Allowleavesandsmallbranchesupto 1/2diameterto befed intothe
impellerfor chippingandshredding.Materialcan berakedintohopper
assemblyby loweringthehopperassembly.SeeFigure9.
RELEASE ROD
The releaserodis locatedon theimpellerbracketassemblyandit
is usedto releaseorlockthe hopperwhen raisingor lowering.See

CHUTE DEFLECTOR
Chippedandshreddeddebrisisdischargedout thechutedeflector.
Theunitmaybeoperatedwithorwithoutthecollectionbagattachedto
the chutedeflector.SeeFigure9.
Thisplugis insertedintothechipperchuteto pushtwigsandsmall
branchestowardsthe impellerbladeswithoutendangeringyour hands.
TH ROTTLE CONTROL
Thislevercontrolstheenginespeedandstopfunction.Throughthree
separatepositionsonthe leverfromleftto right,theoperationisas
follows:
Start/Run Slow/Idle Engine Off
CHOKE CONTROL
The chokecontrolisusedto chokethe carburetorand assistinstarting
the engine.
