Lubricatethe axlesandthe rimswellwithanall-purposegreasebefore
reinstallingthem.
Front Wheel Bearings
Greasefittingsarelocatedoneachcasterwheelandonthe frame
aboveeach frontcasterwheel,Figure17.Lubricatetheseareasusing
a greasegunafterevery50 hoursof moweroperation.

notallowdebristo accumulatearoundanycomponentson the mower.
Cleaning the Engine
Enginepartsshouldbekeptcleanto reducethe riskof overheating
and ignitionof debris.Thisis especiallyimportantif cuttingtallgrass.
Cleaning the Cutting Deck
DeckWash System
Usethe DeckWashSystemto rinsegrassclippingsfromthe under-
sideof thedeckandto preventthe buildupof corrosivechemicals.

Manual)onto the endof yourgardenhose,Figure18.

Turnthewateron.
Pointthe dischargechuteawayfromany objectsorpersons.
Startthe mowerandengagethe blades(pressandholdthe blade
controlagainstthe handlebargrip)for a minimumof twominutes.
Donot engagethedrivecontrol.
Whencomplete,disengagethe bladecontrol(releasethe blade
control)andturn the engineoff.
Turnthewateroffanddetachthehose couplerfromthe water
port.
