4. Align the shear pin holes. Install the new shear pin (A, Figure
18) through the auger shaft (C). Secure with a cotter pin (B).

Shear Bolt Replacement
1. Turn off the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.
2. Remove the existing shear bolt.
3. Lubricate the auger grease fittings. Spin the auger to
lubricate the auger shaft.
4. Align the bolt holes. Install the new shear bolt (A, Figure 19)
through the auger shaft (B). Secure with the locknut (C).

Shear Bolt and Spacer Replacement
Augers are secured to the auger shaft with special bolts that are
designed to break if an object becomes lodged in the auger
housing. Use only factory spec, or equivalent, shear bolts.
1. Turn off the engine and wait for all moving parts to stop.
2. Remove the existing shear bolt.
3. Lubricate the auger grease fittings. Spin the auger to
lubricate the auger shaft.
4. Align the bolt and spacer holes. Install the new shear bolt
(A, Figure 20), spacer (B), through the auger shaft (C).
Secure with the locknut (D).

Checking Tire Pressure
Tire pressure should be checked periodically. Recommended
tire pressure varies by tire manufacturer. A good rule of thumb
is to inflate the tire up to, but not exceeding, the "Max Inflation"
stamped on the side-wall of the tire.
