TROUBLESHOOTING
If you experience a problem with your Zodiac 1500
, please review the installation section and ensure all steps
have been followed correctly.
PROBLEM SOLUTION
1. Machine does not move, or moves sluggishly. Confirm that the main drain is closed, if you have one.
Backwash filter and empty pump basket.
Check diaphragm for damage or wear
(see Quick Access Cassette System).
Check for air in system. If water level in pump
basket drops or you notice excessive air bubbles in
pump basket or coming from jets, you have air in the
system. Check hose connections, tighten all fittings at
pump, check gasket in pump basket for wear.
Increase flow by adjusting FlowKeeper valve to higher
setting.
Note: In water 60
0
F or less, it may be necessary to
increase flow to compensate for the reduced flexibility
of the hose and diaphragm. To increase flow, adjust
FlowKeeper Valve to higher setting.
2. Machine does not cover entire pool. Point return jets as far down as possible.
Make sure hose does not have memory from
being coiled (see Care and Maintenance).
Confirm proper hose length.
Increase setting on FlowKeeper Valve if necessary.
3. Machine sticks on ladder. Decrease setting on FlowKeeper Valve to lower flow
and to bring the cleaner off the wall.
Remove ladder if possible.
•Install large wheel deflector. (see Zodiac Accessories)
4. Machine sticks in steps. Ensure correct amount of hose is being used
(see Assembly). Shorten if necessary.
Reduce setting on the FlowKeeper Valve.
