Foreign object in pulley grooves Inspect all pulley grooves for rust,
paint or weld spots and remove.
Worn pulley groove Replace pulley
Damaged Belt Rollover, high shock loads or Replace belt.
installation damage
Belt Breakage High shock loads Avoid abusive mowing. Avoid hitting
the ground or large obstructions.
Belt came off drive Check drive alignment for foreign
material in grooves. Ensure proper
tension. Avoid hitting solid objects or
ground.
*Check belt for damage by laying it flat on floor. If belt does not lie flat (has lumps or twists), which indicates
broken or stretched cords, it must be replaced. Each mower head belt must be replace as set of two belts.
