TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Verify the location of all Intelligent Keys that are
programmed for the vehicle. If another Intelligent
Key is in range or inside the vehicle, the vehicle
system may respond differently than expected.
Symptom PossibleCause Remedy
When pushingthe ignition switch tostop
the HybridSystem
The SHIFTP warning appears onthe dis-
play andthe inside warning chimesounds
continuously.
The shiftselector is not inthe P position.
Shift theshift selector to theP position.
When openingthe driver’s door toget out
of thevehicle
The insidewarning chime sounds
continuously.
The ignitionswitch is in theACC position.
Place theignition switch in theOFF
position.
The IntelligentKey is inthe Intelligent Key
port.
Remove theIntelligent Key fromthe Intelli-
gent Key port.
When closingthe door after gettingout of
the vehicle
The NOKEY warning appears onthe
display,the outside chimesounds 3 times
and theinside warning chime soundsfor
approximately 3seconds.
The ignitionswitch is in theACC or ON
position.
Place theignition switch in theOFF
position.
The NOKEY warning appears onthe dis-
play andthe outside chime sounds
continuously.
The ignitionswitch is in theACC position
and theshift selector is notin the “P”(Park)
position.
Move theshift selector to the“P”(Park)
position andpush the ignition switchto the
OFF position.
When closingthe door with theinside lock
knob placedin the LOCK position
The outsidechime sounds for approximately
3 secondsand all the doorsunlock.
The IntelligentKey is insidethe vehicle or
trunk.
Carry theIntelligent Key withyou.
When closingthe trunk lid
The outsidechime sounds for approximately
10 secondsand the trunk lidopens.
The IntelligentKey is insidethe trunk.
Carry theIntelligent Key withyou.
