Cleaning the water inlet filters
The washing machine has two water in
-
take filters to protect the intake valves.
–
one in the open end of the intake
hose.
–
and one where the hose is con
-
nected to the machine only to be
cleaned by a technician.
The filter in the open end of the hose
should be cleaned if intake problems
occur, or after an interruption of the ex
-
ternal water supply.
To clean the filter in the intake hose:
^
Turn off the main water valve.
^
Unscrew the intake hose from the
valve.
^ Remove the flat gasket from inside
the hose and, using needle nose pli-
ers, grab the plastic tab and pull to
remove the filter. Clean the filter un-
der running water.
^
Replace the filter and gasket in the
reverse order and reconnect the
hose.
Turn on the valve and check that the
connection is water tight. If the connec
-
tion drips and cannot be tightened any
further, the gasket may need to be re
-
placed.
Always replace the intake filter after
cleaning it.
