An outside antennasystem should not be located inthe vicinity of overhead powerlines or
other electric lightor power circuits, or where itcan fall onto or againstsuch power lines or
circuits. When installingan outside antenna system, extreme careshould be taken to keep
from touching suchpower lines or circuits, as contactwith them might be fatal.
Do not overloadwall outlets and extension cords, asthis can result in arisk of fire or electric
shock.

Do not pushobjects through any openings in thisunit, as they may touchdangerous voltage
points or shortout parts that could result infire or electric shock. Neverspill or spray any
type of liquidinto the unit.
If an outsideantenna or cable system is connectedto the unit, be surethe antenna or cable
system is groundedto provide some protection against voltagesurges and built-up static
charges, Section 810of the National Electrical Code (NEC),ANSI/NFPA70, provides
information with respectto proper grounding of the mastand supporting structure,
grounding of thelead-in wire to an antenna dischargeunit, size of grounding conductors,
location of antennadischarge unit, connection to grounding electrodes,and requirements
for the groundingelectrode.

blades withone widerthan theother.Agrounding type plughas twoblades anda thirdgrounding
prong.The wideblade orthe third prongare providedfor yoursafety. Ifthe providedplug doesnot
fit intoyour outlet,consult anelectrician forreplacement ofthe obsolete outlet.
