THROTTLE LEVER
The throttle lever is used to select th e desired
engine speed and t o stop the engi ne. To stop
engine, move t he t hrottle le ver to the ST OP
position and hold until engine stops running.
PRIMER BULB
ThePRIMER B ULBremoves airfromthecar-
buretor and fuel lines and fills them with fuel.
This allows you to start theengine with fewer
pulls on the starter rope. Activate the primer
bulb by pressing it and allowing it to return to
its original form.
CHOKE LEVER
TheCHOKEhelps tosupply fueltotheengine
to aid in cold starting. The RUN position is
used for full speed operation. The HALF
CHOKE position is used f or a brief initial
warm-up period.

OPERATING TIPS
S To reduce the risk of hearing loss
associated with sound level(s), hearing
protection is required.
S Operate power equipment only at reasonable
hours--not early in t he morning or late at night
when peoplemight bedisturbed. Comply with
times listed in l ocal ordinances. Usual recom-
mendations are 9:00 a.m. to 5 :00 p.m.,
Monday though Saturday.
S To reduce noise levels, operate power
blowers a t the lowest possible throttle
speed to do the job.
S To reduce noise levels, limit the number of
pieces of equipment used at any one t im e.
S Use rakes andbrooms toloosen d ebrisbe-
fore blowing.
S In dusty conditions, slightly dampen sur-
faces when water is available.
S Conserve water by using power blowers
instead of hoses fo r m any lawn and garden
applications, including areas such a s gutters,
screens, patios, grills, porches, and gardens.
S W atch out for children, pet s, open windows,
or freshly washed cars. Blow debris away
safel y.
S Usethe fullblowertubeextensionsothe air
stream can work close to the ground.
S After using blowers and other equipment,
CLEAN UP! Dispose of debris in trash re-
ceptacles.
