IMPORTANT:
THE COLLECTION BAG
MUST BE PROPERLY EMPTIED.
D Yo u must properly empty and maintain
the c ol lect i on b ag to avoid det er i orat i on
and obstr u ction of air flow.
D Remove the collection bag from the unit
and empt y aft er each use. Do not store
bag wit houtemptying the bagof allcon-
tents (grass, leaves, et c . ).
D Wash the bag oncea year . Remove t he
bag fr omthe blowerand t ur n the bagin-
side out. Wash th e bag wit h a water
hose. Allow the bag to hang and dry
compl etel y b efore you reu se the b a g.
SERVICE
HOW TO REMOVE AN OBJECT
FROM THE AIR INTAKE
WARNING: Stop the unit and dis-
connect from the power s ource before
openingtheinletcover. The motormust
be stopped and the impeller blades no
longer turning to avoid serious injury
from the rotating blades.
1. While holding the inlet cover open,
removethe vacuum tubes. The inlet
cover must be held open through all
remaining steps.
2. Carefully reach into the vacu um
opening and clear out the air intake
area. Clear a ll debris from impeller.
3. Inspect the impeller for c racks. If
cracked or damaged, do not use the
unit.Havepartsreplacedbyyourau-
thorized service dealer. Do not at-
tempt to replace them yourself.
STORAGE
WARNING: Perform the following
steps after each use:
S Stop unit and di sconnect from the pow-
er so urce.
S Allow mot or t o cool before st or ing or
transporting.
S Store unit w i t h all guards in place. Posi-
ti on unitso that any shar p object cannot
accidentall y cause injur y.
S Store unit unplugged, well out of the
reach of chi l dr en.
SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepare unit for storage at the end of
the sea son or if it will not be used for
30 days or more.
Ifyour bloweris to bestoredfor aperiod
of time:
S Stop unit and di sconnect fr om the pow-
er sour ce.
S Clean t heentir e uni tbef orelengthy st or-
age.
S Open inlet cover and cl ean any di r t ,
grass, or debris that has coll ected. In-
spect the blow er and all t ub es. Close
and make sure the cover i s l at ched.
S Clean air vents and air i nlet of debr i s.
S St ore you r unit and extension co rd i n a
well ventilated area and covered, if pos-
sible,to preventdustand dirtaccumula-
tion. Do not cover with plastic. Plastic
cannot br eat he and may cause con-
densation and event ual rust or corr o-
sion.
S Check entir e uni t for loose screws. Re-
place any damaged, w or n, or broken
parts.
