MAINTAIN YOUR UNIT PROPERLY

D Disconnect spark plug before performing
maintenance except for carburetor adjust-
ments.
D Use only recommended WEED EATER
replacement parts; use of any other parts
mayvoidyourwarrantyandcausedamage
to your unit.
D Empty f uel tank be fore s toring the unit. Use
upfuelleftincarburetorbystartingengineand
letting it run until it stops.
D Do not use any accessory or atta chment
other than those recommended by manufac-
turer for use with your unit.
D Donot storethe unitorfuelinaclosedarea
where fuel vapors can reach sparks or an
openflamefrom hotwater h eaters, e lectric
motors or switches, furnaces, etc.
D Store ina dry areaout of reach of children.
SPECIAL NOTICE: Exposure to vibra-

nerve damage in the fingers, hands, and

is not factory equippedwitha spark arresting
screen; however,a spark arresting screenis
availableasanoptionalpart.Ifa sparkarrest-
ing screen is required in your area, contact
your authorizedservicedealer for thecorrect
kit. Thespark arrestingscreen,blowertubes,
and nozzles must beassembled tounit to be
in full compliance with regulations.
ASSEMBLY
WARNING: This unit is intended for
blower use only. Donot attemptto open inlet
cover.Openedordamagedinletcovercanre-
sultinseriousinjury.Discontinueuseofblow-
erimmediatelyifinletcover becomesopened
ordamaged. Ta keunit toyour nearest autho-
rized service dealer for repair.
WARNING: If you receive your unit
assembled, check each step to insure your
unit is properly assembled and all fasteners
are s ecure. Follow all safety information in
the manual and on the unit.
BLOWER TUBE ASSEMBLY
1. Align the rib on the blower tube with the
groove in the blower outlet; slide the tube
into place.
NOTE: Knobmustbelooseenoughtoallow
blower tube to be inserted i n blower out let.
Loosen knob by turning counterclockwise.

2. Securethetubeby turningtheknobclock-
wise.
3. Toremovethetube,turntheknobcounter-
clockwise to loosen the tube; remove the
tube.
