MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Disconnect power
source before performing maint enance.
GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS
The warranty on this unit does not cover
items that have been subjected t o opera-
tor abuse or negl i g en ce. To re ceive ful l
value from thewarranty , the operator must
maintain unit as instructed in this ma nua l.
Vari ous adjustments wil l need to be made
perio dically to proper ly maintain you r unit.
BEFORE EACH USE
CHECK FOR LOOSE
FASTENERS AND PARTS
S Inlet Cover
S Bl ower Tube
CHECK FOR DAMAGED OR
WORN PAR T S
Contact your authorized service dealer
for replacement of damaged or worn
parts.

ON/OFF Switch -- Ensure switch func-
tionsproperlybymovingtheswitchto
the
OFF position. M ake su re m otor
stop s; then r estar t motor and contin ue.
S Inl et Cover -- Discont inue use of unit if
inlet cover fails to latc h properly or if i t is
damaged in any way.
AFTER EACH USE
INSPECT ANDCLEAN UNIT & LABELS
Stop unit and unplug extension c ord.
S After ea ch use, inspect complete unit
for loose or damaged parts. Clean the
unit using a damp cloth.
S W ipe off unit with a c lean dry clot h.
STORAGE
WARNING: Perform the following
steps after each use:
S St op unit and disconnect fr om the pow-
er so urce.
S Al low motor to cool bef ore storing or
transporting.
S St ore unit w ith all guards in place. Posi -
ti on unit so that any sharp object cann ot
accidentall y cause injur y.
S St ore unit unplugged, well out of the
reach of chil dr en.
SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepare unit for storage at the end of
the sea son or if it will not be used for
30 days or more.
If your blower is to be stored for a period
of time:
S St op unit and disconnect from the pow-
er sou rce.
S Cl ean the enti r e unit bef or e lengthy stor-
age.
S I nspect t he blower and blower tube.
Clo se and m ak e sure the cove r is
latched.
S Cl ean air vents and air inlet of debr i s.
S Store your unit and e xtensi on co rd in a
well ventilated are a and covered, if pos-
sible, to prevent dust and dirt accumul a-
tion. D o not cover with plast ic. Plast ic
cannot breathe and may cause con-
densation and eve nt ual rust or corr o-
sion.
S Check enti r e unit for loose screws. Re-
place any damaged, worn, or br oken
parts.
