brand gasoline tool or attachment is fr ee from
defects in material and workmanship and
agrees to r epair or replace under this war r anty
any def ectivegasoline productorattachmentas
follows fr om the o r iginal date of purchase.
2YEARS--Parts and Labor, when used for
household purposes.
90 DAYS--Parts and Labor, when us ed for
commercial, professional, or income produc-
ing purposes.
30 DAYS--Parts and Labor, if used for rental
purposes.
This war r anty is not transferable and does not
cover damage or liability caused by improper
handling, improper maintenance, or the use of
accessories and/or attachments notspecifically
recommended by ELECTRO LUX H OME
PRODUCTS for this tool. Additionally, this war-
ranty does not cover tune-ups, spar k plugs, fil-
ters, e tc., thatwill w earand requirereplacement
with reasonable u se dur ingthe war r antyperiod.
This warranty does not cover predelivery s etup
or nor mal adjustments explained in the opera-
tor’s m anual.

TIONS: The U. S. Environmental Protection
Agency and PO ULAN/WEED EATER, DIVI-
SION OF WCI O UTDOOR PRODUCTS are
pleased toexplain t heemissions contr olsystem
war ranty on your lawn and garden equipment
engine. All new utility and lawn and garden
equipment enginesmust bedesigned, built, and
equipped to meet the stringent anti--smog stan-
dards. POUL AN/WEED EATER must warrant
the emission control system on your law n and
gardenequipment engine f orthe per iods oftime
listed below pr ovided there hasbeen no abuse,
neglect, or improper maintenance o f your lawn
and garden equipment engine. Your emission
control system includes par ts such as the car-
buretor and the ignition system. Where a war-
rantable condition exits, POULAN/WEEDEA T-
ER will repair your lawn and gar den equipment
engine atno costto you.Expenses cover edun-
derwarrantyinclude di agnosis, partsand labor.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY COVER-
AGE: I f any emissions related part on your en-
gine (aslisted underEm issions Contr olWar r an-
ty Par tsList) i sdefective ora def ect i nthe mate-
rials or w or kmanship of the engine causes the
failure of such an emission r elated part, the par t
will berepairedor replacedby POUL AN/WEED
EATER. OWNER’S WARRANTY RESPON-
SIBILITIES:As t helawn andgardenequipment
engine owner, you are r esponsible for the per-
formance of the required maintenance listed in
your Owner’ s Manual. POULAN/WEED EAT-
ERrecom mendsthatyouretain a llreceiptscov-
ering maintenance on your lawn and garden
equipment engine, but POULAN/WEED EAT-
ER cannot deny war r anty s olely for t he lack of
receipts or for your failure to ensure the perfor-
mance o f a ll schedul ed maintenance. As the
lawn and garden equipment engine owner, you
should be a w ar e that POU L AN/WEEDEA TER
may deny you w ar r anty coverage if your lawn
and garden equi pment engine ora part of it has
failed due to abuse, neglect, improper mainte-
nance, unapproved modifications, o r the use of
parts not m ade or approved by the original
equipment manufacturer. You are r esponsible
for pr esenting your l aw n and garden equi pment
engine to a PO ULAN/WEED EATER autho-
rized r epair c enter assoon as a p r oblemexists.
War r anty repairs should be completed in a rea-
sonable amount of time, not to exceed 30days.

years from the initial date o f purchase. WHAT
IS COVERED: REPAIR OR REPLA CEM ENT

ranted partwill beperformed atno charge tothe
owner at an approved POUL AN/WEED EAT-
