This warranty isnot transferable and doesnot
cover damage or liability caused by improper
handling, improper maintenance, or the use
of accessories and/or attachments not
specifically recommended by
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS
NORTH AMERICA
for this tool. Additionally,
this warranty does not cover tune--ups, spark
plugs, filters, starter ropes, starter springs,
cutting line, or rotating head parts that will
wear and require replacement with
reasonable use during the warranty period.
This warranty does not cover predelivery
setup or norm al adjustments explained in the
operator’s manual.

YOUR W ARRANTY RIGHTS AND
OBLIGA TIONS:
The U .S. Environmental
Protection Agency/California Air Resources
Board and PO ULAN/WEED EA TER,
DIVISION OF WCI OUTDOOR PRODUCTS
are p leased to explain the emissions contr ol
system war rantyon youryear2000--2003 sm all
off--road engine. In California, all new small
off--road engines must be designed, built, and
equipped to m eet the S tate’s stringent
anti--smog standards. POULAN/WEED
EATER must war r ant the emission control
system on your small off--road engine for the
periods of time listed below provided t here has
been no abuse, neglect, or improper
maintenance of your small off--road engine
engine. Your emission contr ol system i ncludes
parts such as the c ar bur etor and the ignition
system. Where a war r antable condition exists,
POULAN/WEED EATER will repair y our small
off--road engine engine at no cost to you.
Expenses covered under war r anty include
diagnosis, parts and labor.
MANUFACTURER’S W ARRANTY
COVERAGE:
If any emissions r elated part o n
your engine (as listed under Em issions Control
War r anty Parts List) is defective or a defect in
the materials or wor km anship of the engine
causes the failure of such an emission related
part, the part will be repair ed or replaced by
POULAN/WEED EATER.
OWNER’S
W ARRANTY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the
small off--road engine engine owner, you ar e
responsible for the performance of the requir ed
maintenance listed in y our Owner’ s M anual.
POULAN/WEED EATER r ecom mends that
you retain all receipts cover ing maintenance on
your small o f f--road engine, but
POULAN/WEED EATER cannot deny
war ranty solely for the lack of receipts o r for
your f ailure to ensure the performance of all
scheduled m aintenance. A sthe small of f--road
engine engine owner, you should b e aware that
POULAN/WEED EATER may deny you
warr anty c over age if yoursmall off--roadengine
engine or a part of it has failed due to abuse,
neglect, im pr oper maintenance, unapproved
modifications, or the use of parts not made or
approved by the or iginal equi pm ent
manufacturer. You a re responsible f or
presenting your small of f--road engine to a
POULAN/WEED EATER authorized repair
center as soon as a problem exists. War ranty
repairs should be c om pleted in a reasonable
amount of time, not to exceed 30 days. If you
have any questions r egar ding your warranty
rights and respons ibilities, you should contact
your nearest authorized service center or call
POULAN/WEED EATER at 1--800--554--6723.
W ARRANTY COMMENCEMENT DATE:
The
war ranty period begins on the date the small
off--road engine is purchased.
