12. Insert the ends of the line into the two holding slots
(Fig. 6-6). Leave about 4 inches (102 mm) of line
beyond the holding slots.
13. Insert the ends of the line through the eyelets in the
outer spool and place inner reel inside the outer
spool (Fig. 6-7).
14. While holding the inner reel and outer spool, grasp
the ends and pull firmly to release the line from the
holding slots in the inner reel.
15. Push the bottom cover into the outer spool until it
snaps into place
INSTALLING A PREWOUND REEL
1. Press the tabs in and remove the bottom cover
(Fig. 6-1).
2. Remove the old inner reel from the outer spool
(Fig. 6-1).
3. Take the prewound inner reel and Insert the ends of
the line through the eyelets in the outer spool
(Fig. 6-7).
4. While holding the inner reel and outer spool, grasp
the ends and pull firmly to release the line from the
holding slots in the inner reel.
5. Push the bottom cover into the outer spool until it
snaps into place

PAWL REPLACEMENT
If the pawl in the cutting attachment requires replace-
ment due to cracking or wear, use the following
instructions.
1. Position the pawl so that it is hooked by the spring
(Fig. 6-8).
2. Position a medium sized flat bladed screwdriver
through the tab hole in the outer spool and under the
pawl as shown in figure 6-8. The end of the screw-
driver needs to be right next to the pawl shaft.
3. Turn the screwdriver to remove the pawl from it’s
retaining hole in the outer spool.
4. Replace with a new pawl. Press the pawl in firmly
until it snaps into place.
