or freshly washed cars. Blow debris away
safely.
S Usethe full blower nozzle e xtension so the
air stream can work close to the ground.
S After using blowers and other equipment,
CLEAN UP! Dispose of debris in trash re-
ceptacles.

FUELING ENGINE
WARNING: Remove fuel cap slowly
when refueling.
HELPFUL TIP
Toobtainthecorrect oilmix
ratio, pour 3.2 ounces of
2--cycle synthetic oil into
one gallon of fresh gas.
This engine is certified to operate on
unleaded gasoline. Before operation,
gasoline must be mixed with a good quality
synthetic 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil
designedtobemixedataratioof40:1.Poulan
PRO brand synthetic oil is recommended.
Mix gasoline and oil ata ratio of 40:1. A 40:1
ratiois obtained by m ixing 3.2ounces (95ml)
of oil wi th 1 g all on (4 li te rs) of unleaded
gasoline. DO NOT U SE automotive oil or
boatoil.Theseoils willcauseenginedamage.
When mixing fuel, follow instructions printed
on container. Once oil is added to gasoline,
shake container momentarily to assure that
thefuelis thoroughlymixed.Always readand
follow the safety rules relating to fuel before
fueling your unit.
IMPORTANT
Experience indicates that alcohol blended
fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or
methanol)canattractmoisturewhichleadsto
separation and formation of acids during
storage. Acidic gas can damage the fuel
systemofanenginewhileinstorage.Toavoid
engine problems, empty the fuel system
beforestoragefor30days orlonger.Drainthe
gastank,starttheengineandletitrununtilthe
fuellines andcarburetorareempty.Usefresh
fuel next season. Never use engine or
carburetorcleanerproductsinthefuel tankor
permanent damage may occur.
NOTE: Unit must be placed on its side when
adding fuel (see illustration below).
TO STOP THE ENGINE
D To stop the engine, move the throttle lever
to the STOP position.
BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
WARNING: You MUST make sure
the tubes are secure before using the unit.
D Fuel engine. Move at least 10 feet (3 me-
ters) away from the fueling site.
D Hold the unit in the starting position as
shown. Make sure the blower end is di-
rected away from people, animals, glass,
and solid objects.

RTING POSITION
WARNING: Whe n starting engine,
holdthe unitasillustrated. Donot setunit onany
surface e xcept a clean, hardarea when starting
engine or while engine is running. Debris such
as gravel, sand, dust, grass, etc. could be
picked up by the air intake and thrown out
through the discharge opening, damaging the
unit or property , or causing serious injury t o by-
standers or the operator.
