with any att achm ent. T his u nit (when used with
supplied line trimmer atta chment) is designed
for line tr immer use only . Use of any other ac-
cessories or att achments with line trimmer at-
tach ment will increase the risk of inju ry.
If situations occur which are not covered in
this manual, use care and good judgment. If

OPERATOR SAFETY
S Dress p roperly. Alwa ys wear safe ty glasses
or si milar eye prot ection when operat ing, or
perform ing maintena nce, on yo ur u nit ( safet y
glasses are available). Eye protectionsh ould
be marked Z87.
S Always wear fa ce or dust m ask if o peration is
dusty.
S Always wear heavy, lon g pants, long sleeve s,
boots,and gloves. Wearing safety leg guards
is reco mmended.
S Always wear foot protection. Do not go
barefoot or wear sa ndals. Stay cl ear of
spinni ng line.
S Securehair a boveshoulder length. Se cureor
remove loose cloth ing or clothing with loosely
hanging ties, str aps,tassels, etc. They can be
caught in moving parts.
S Being fully co vered also helps protect yo u
from d ebris and pieces of toxic plants t hrown
by spinni ng line.
S Stay Alert. Do not ope rate this unit when yo u
are tir ed, ill , upset or under the influence of
alcoho l, drugs, or medicati on. Watch what
you are doing; use common sense.

S Neve r start or run inside a closed room or
building. B reathing exhaust fumes can
