YOUR WARRANTY RI GHT S ANDOBL IGA-
TIONS:
The U.S. Environmenta l Protection
Agency , California Air Resources Board, Envi-
ronment Canada and ELECTROLUX HOME
PRODUCTS, INC., are pleased to explain the
e m issions cont r ol syst em warr an ty on yo ur
year 2002--2004 small off--road en gine. In Cali-
fornia, all small off--road engines must be de-
signed, built, and equipped to meet the State’s
stringen t anti--smog standa rds. ELECTRO-
LUX HOME PRODUCT S, INC ., must warra n t
t h e emission contr ol syst em onyou r small off--
road engine for the periods of time listed below
provided there has been no abuse, neglect, or
improper maintenance of your small off--road
engine en gine. Your emission control system
includes parts such as the carbureto r and the
ignition system. Where awarrantablecondition
exists, ELE CTROL UX HOME PRODUCT S,
INC., will re pair your small off--road engine en-
gine at no cost to you. Expenses covered un-
derwarranty includediag nosis, parts a ndlabor.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY C OVER-
AGE:
If any emissions related part on your en-
gine (as listed under Emissions Control War-
ranty Parts List) is de fective or a defect in the
materials o r workmanship of the engine
causes the failure of such an emission related
part, the part will be repaired or replaced by
EL ECT ROLUX HOME PRODUC TS, INC.
OWNER’S W ARRANTY RESPONSIBILI-
TIES:
As the small off--road engine engine
owner, you are responsible for the perfor-
mance of the required maintenance listed in
your instruction manua l. ELECTROLUX
HOME PRODUCTS, INC., recommends th at

HOME PRODUCTS, INC., cann ot deny w ar-
ranty solely for the lack of receipts o r for your
failure to ensure the performance of all sched-
uled maintena nce. As the small off--road en-
gine engine owner, you should be aware that
EL ECT ROLUX HO ME PRODUCTS , IN C.,
may deny you warranty coverage if your small
of f--road engine engine or a part of it has failed
due to abuse, neglect, improper maintenance,
una pproved modifications, or the u se of parts
not made or app roved by the original equ ip-
ment man ufacturer . You are respon sible for
presenting your small off--road engine to an
EL ECT ROLUX HO ME PRODUCTS , IN C.,
authorized repair center as soon as a problem
exists. W arranty repairs should be completed
in a reasonable amount of time, not to exceed
30 days. If you have any questions regarding
yo ur war r ant y right s an d respons ibilit ies, you
should contact your n earest authorized service
center or call ELECTROLUX HOME PROD-

LENGTH OF COVE R-
AGE:
This warranty shall be for a period of two
ye ars fr om th e in itial date of purchase.

Repair or replacement o f
any warranted part will be performed at no
charge to the owner at an approved ELEC-
TROL UX HOME PRODUCTS , INC., servic-
ing center . I f you have a ny questions regarding
yo ur warra n ty right s a nd re spon sibilit ies, you
sh ou ldcont actyournearestau th or izedservice
center or call EL ECTROLUX HOME PROD-
UCTS, INC., at 1--800--554--6723.
W ARRAN-
TY PERIOD:
Any warranted part which is not
sched uled for rep lacement a s required mainte-
nance, or which is scheduled only f or regular
inspection to the ef fect of “repair or replace as
necessary” shall bewarrante d for 2 years. Any
warranted part which is sched uled for replace-
ment as required maintenance shall be war-
ranted for the period of time up to the first
sched uled replacement point for that part.
DIAGNOSI S:
The owner shall not be charged
for diagnostic labor wh ich leads to the deter-
mination th at awarran ted partis defective ifthe
diagnostic work is performed at an ap proved
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
se r vicing center.
CONSEQUE NTI AL DAM-
AGES:
ELECTROLUX HOME PR ODUCTS,
INC., may be liable fo r damage s to other en-
gine components caused by the failure of a
warranted part still under warranty .
WH AT IS
NOT COVERED
:Allfa ilurescausedbyabu se,
neglect, or improper maintenance are not cov-
ered.
ADD--ON OR MODIFIED PA RTS :
The
use of add--on or modifie d parts can be
grounds for disallowing a wa rranty claim.
ELECT ROL UX HOME PRODUCTS, INC., is
not liable to cover failures of warra nted parts
caused by the u se ofadd--o n or modified p arts.
