S Liftuptipofguidebartocheck f orsag. Re-
lease tip of guide bar , then turn adjusting
screw until sag does not exist.
S Tightenchainbrakenutssecurely withthe
bar tool.
Chain Brake
Nuts
S Use the screwdriver end of the bar tool to
move chain around guide bar.
S If chain does not rotate, it is too tight.
Slightly loosen chain brake nuts andloos-
en chain by turning the adjusting screw.
Retighten chain brake nuts.
S If chain is too loose, it will sag below the
guidebar . DO NOToperate thesaw ifthe
chain is loose.
NOTE:Thechainistensioned correctlywhen
theweight o fthe chain doesnot causeit tosag
below the guide bar (with the chain saw sitting
in anupright position), but thechain stillmoves
freely around the guide bar .
WARNING: If the saw is operated
with a l oose chain, thechain could jumpoffthe
guide bar andresult in serious injury to the op-
erator and/or damage the chain making it un-
usable. If the chain jumps off the guide bar , in-
spect each drive link for damage. Damaged
chain must be repaired or replaced.

THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCK --- OUT
The THROTTLE LOCK--OUT must be
pressedbeforeyoucan squeezethethrottle
trigger.This feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing the trigger.
