ADJUSTING THE HANDLE
WARNING: When adjusting t heassist
handle,besureitremains abovethesafetylabel
and below the mark or a rrow on the shaft.
1. Loosen wing nut on handle.
2. Rotate thehandle onthe shaftto anupright
position; retighten wing nut.
ATTACHING SHIELD
WARNING: The shield must be prop-
erly install ed.Theshieldprovides p artialprotec-
tion from therisk ofthrown objects to theopera-
tor and others and is equippedwith aline l imiter
blade which cuts excess line to the proper
length. The l ine limiter bla de (on underside of
shield) is sharp and can cut you.

1. Remove wing nut from shield.
2. Insert bracket into slot as shown.
3. Pivotshield untilboltpassesthroughholein
bracket.
4. Securely tighten wing nut onto bolt.
