ON/ST OP SWI TCH
The ON/ST OP SWITCH is used to s top the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LO CK--OUT
The T HROTTLE LOCK--O UT m ust be
pressed before you can squeeze the throttle
trigger. This feature prevents you f rom a cci-
dentally squeezing the t rigger.
CHOKE/ FAST IDLE L EV ER
The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOKE/F AST IDLE LEVER out to the full ex-
tent for cold starting or after refueling. The
choke provides additional f uel to the eng ine
during cold starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRA KE
The chain brake is a device designed to stop
the chain if ki ck ba c k occur s. The chain br ake
activates automatically in the event of kick-
back. The chain b rakeactivates m anually if the
front hand guard is pushed forward. The chain
brake is disengaged by pulling the front hand
guard back toward the front handle as far as
possible.
CHAIN TENSI ON
It isnormalfor anew chain tostretchduring the
first 15 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain tension frequently. See CHAIN
TENSION und er the ASSEM BLY section.
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ingand afteruse. Donot touch the muffleror
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
