THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LO CK--OUT
The T HROTTLE LOCK--OUT m ust be
pressed before you can squeeze the t hrottle
trigger. This feature prevents you from acci-
dentally squeezing the t rigger.
CHOKE/ FAST IDLE L EV ER
The choke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOKE/F AST IDLE LEVER out to the full e x-
tent for cold starting or after refueling. The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
during cold starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the car-
buretor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRA KE
The chain brake is a device designed to stop
the c hai nif kickback o ccur s . The cha inbrake
activates automatically in the event of kick-
back. Thechainbrakeactivates m anually ifthe
front hand guardis pushed forward. Thechain
brake is disengaged by pulling the f ront hand
guard back toward t he front handle as far as
possible.
CHAIN TENSI ON
Itisnormalforanewchaintostretchduring the
first15 minutes of operation.Y ou shouldcheck
your chain tension frequently . See CHAIN
TENSION und er the ASSEM BLY section.
WARNING: Muffler is very hot dur-
ingandafteruse. Donottouchthemuffleror
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
