SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepare unit for storageat end ofseason or if
it will not be used for 30 days or more.
If your unit is to be stored for a period o f time:

Clean the entire unit before lengthy stor-
age.
S
Store in a clean dry area.
S
Lightly oil external metal surfaces.
FUEL SYSTEM
Under FUELING ENGINE in the OPERA-
TION section o fthis manual,see messagela-
beled IMPORTANT regarding the use of ga-
sohol in your engine.
Fuel stabilizer is a n accep tab le alt er nat ive in
minimizing th e formation of fuel gu m deposits
d ur ing st o rage . Add s tab ilizer to gaso line in fu el
tank or fuel storage co ntainer . Follow the mix
in str uctions fou n d on stabilizer cont ainer. Run
e ngine at least 5minu tes afte r a dding st abilize r.
ENGINE

Remove spark plug andpour 1teaspoonof
40:1,2-cycle engineoil (air cooled)through
the spark plug opening. Slowly pull the
starter rope 8 to 10 times to distribute oil.
S
Replace spark plugwith newone ofrecom-
mended type and heat range.
S
Clean air filter.
S
Check entire unit for loose screws, nuts,
and bolts. Replace any damaged, broken,
or worn parts.
S
At the beginning of the next season, use
only fresh fuelhaving thepropergasolineto
oil ratio.
OTHER
S
Do not store gasoline from one season to
another.
S
Replace yourgasoline can if itstarts torust.
TROUBLE

Engine will not
