for this tool.
Additionally, this warr anty does not cover tune-
ups, spark plugs, filters, starter ropes, starter
springs, c utting line, or rotating head par ts that
will wear and require r eplacement with r eason-
able u se during the warranty period. Thi s war-
ranty does not cover predeliver y setup or nor-
mal adjustments explained in the instruction
manual.

pleased to explain theemissions controlsystem
war ranty o n your law n and garden equipment
engine. All new ut ility and law n and gar den
equipment engines mustbe designed, built, and
equipped to meet the stringent anti--smog stan-
dards. POU LAN/WEED EATER m ust warr ant
the emission cont rol system on your lawn and
garden equipm ent engine forthe periods of time
listed below pr ovided there has been no abuse,
neglect, or improper maintenance of your lawn
and garden equipment engine. Your emission
control system i ncludes parts such as the car-
buretor and the i gnition system. W her e a war-
rantable condition exits, POU LAN/WEED EA T-
ER w ill r epair your law n and garden equipment
engine at no cost toyou. Expenses cover edun-
der w ar r antyinclude diagnosis, parts and labor.
MANUFACTURER’S WARRANTY COVER-
AGE:
If any emissions related part on your en-
gine (aslisted underEmissions ControlWar r an-
ty Parts List)is defective ora defect in the mate-
rials o r workm anship of the engine causes the
failure of such an emission r elated part, the part
will be r epair edor replaced byPOU LAN/WEED
EATER.
OWNER’S W ARRANTY RESPON-
SIBILITIES:
As the lawnand gardenequipment
engine ow ner, you are responsible f or the per-
formance of the required maintenance listed in
your instruction manual. POU LAN/WEED EAT-
ERrecommendsthat youretainall receiptscov-
ering maintenance on your law n and garden
equipment engine, but POULAN /WEED EAT-
ER cannot deny warranty solely for the lack of
receipts or for your failure to ensure the per for-
mance of all scheduled maintenance. As the
lawn and garden equipment engine owner, you
should be aware that POULAN/WEED EA TER
may deny you warr anty cover age if your lawn
and garden equipment engine or a part of it has
failed due to abuse, neglect, improper mainte-
nance, unapproved modifications, or the use of
parts not made or approved by the original
equipment manufacturer. You are responsible
for presenting your lawn and garden equipment
engine t o a POU LAN /WEED EATER autho-
rized repair center as soon as a problem exists.
War r anty repairs should be completed in a rea-
sonable amount of time, not to exceed 30days.
