LIMITED WARRANTY
ELECTROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC.,
warrants to the original purchaser that each
new Poulan PRO brand gasoline chain saw
isfree fromdefects inmaterial andworkman-
ship and agrees to repair or replace under
this warranty any defective gasoline chain
saw as follows from the original date of pur-
chase.
2 YEARS -- Parts and Labor, when used for
Household purposes.
60 DAYS -- Parts and Labor, when used for
Commercial, Professional, or Income Pro-
ducing purposes.
30 DAYS -- Parts and Labor,ifused forrental
purposes.
This warranty is not transferable and does
not cover damage or liability caused by im-
proper handling, improper maintenance, or
the use of accessories and/or attachments
not specifically recommended by ELEC-
TROLUX HOME PRODUCTS, INC., for this
chain saw. Additionally, this warranty does
not cover damage caused by improper han-
dling, improper maintenance, or if the saw is
altered inany waywhich inour judgement af-
fects itscondition oroperation. This warranty
does not cover tune--up, spark plugs, filters,
starterropes, starter springs, chain sharpen-
ing, bars, chains, and other parts whichwear
and require repl acement with reasonable
use during the warranty period. This warran-
ty does not cover predelivery set--up, instal-
lation of guide bar and chain, and normal ad-
justments explained in the instruction
manual such as carburetor adjustments and
chain tension adjustments. This warranty
does not cover transportation costs.

OUTDOOR PRODUCTS, INC., are pleased
to explain the emissions control system war-
ranty on your year 2001--2004 small off--road
engine. POULAN /WEED EA TER must w ar-
rant the emission control system on yoursmall
off--roadengineforthe per iodsoftimelistedbe-
low p r ovided there has been no abuse, ne-
glect, or impr oper maintenance of your small
off--road engine. Youremission control system
includes par ts such as the carburetor and the
ignition system. Wherea w ar r antable c ondition
exists, POU LAN /WEED E ATER will repair
your small off--road engine at no cost to you.
Expenses cover ed under warr anty i nclude
diagnosis, par ts and labor. MANUFACTUR-
ER’S W ARRANTY COVERAGE: Ifanyemis-
sions related part on your engine (as listed un-
der Emissions C ontrol Warr anty Parts List) is
defective or a defect in the materials or work-
manship of the engi ne causes the failure of
such an emission related part, the part will be
repairedorreplacedby POULAN /WEEDEA T-
ER. OWNER’S W ARRANTY RESPONSI-
BILITIES:As the smalloff--road engineowner,
you are responsible for the performance of the
required maintenance listed in y our instruction
manual. POULAN/WEED EA TER recom-
mends that you retain all receipts covering
maintenance on your sm all o f f--road engine,
but POULAN /WEED EATER c annot deny
war ranty solely for the lack of receipts or for
your failure to ensur e the per form ance of all
scheduled maintenance. As the small off--
road engine ow ner, you should be awar e that
POULAN /WEED EATER may deny you war-
ranty coverage if your small of f--road engine or
a part of it has failed due to abuse, neglect, im-
proper m aintenance, unapproved modifica-
tions, orthe use of par ts not m ade orapproved
by the or iginal equipment manufacturer. You
are r esponsible for pr esenting your small of f--
road engine to a POULAN /WEED EATERau-
thorizedrepaircenterassoon asa problemex-
ists. W ar r antyrepairsshouldbe completed ina
reasonable amount of time, not to exceed 30
