ON/STOP S WITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop t he
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCKOUT
The THROTTLE LO C KO U T m u st be press ed
before you can squeeze the throttle trigger.
This feature prevents you from accidentally
squeezing the trigger.
CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER
The c ho ke and fa s t id le are se t by pulling the
CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER o u t fully for cold
or refueled st ar ting. The choke provides addi-
tional fuel t o t he engine during cold starting.
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the
carburetor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is adevice designed to
stop the chain if kickback occurs. The chain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manu-
ally if the front hand guardis pushedforward.
The chain brakeis disengaged by pulling the
front hand guard back toward the f ront han-
dle as far as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
Itisnormalforanewchain tostretchduringfirst
30 minutes of operation. You should check
your chain t ension frequently . S ee CH AIN
TENSION under the ASSEMBLY section.

Muffler is very hot dur-
ing andafter use. Do not touch the muffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
