ON/STOP SWITCH
The ON/STOP SWITCH is used to stop the
engine.
THROTTLE TRIGGER
The THROTTLE TRIGGER controls engine
speed.
THROTTLE LOCKOUT
Th e THROTT L E LOCKOUT mu st be pre ssed
befo re you can sque eze the throttle trigger .
This featu re prevents you from accidentally
squeezing the trigger .
CHOKE/FAST IDLE LEVER
The cho ke and fast idle are set by pulling the
CHOKE/F AST IDLE LEVER out to the full ex-
tent for cold starting or after refueling. The
choke provides additional fuel to the engine
d uring cold sta r t ing .
PRIMER BULB
The PRIMER BULB circulates fuel to the
carburetor to provide quicker starting.
CHAIN BRAKE
The CHAIN BRAKE is a device designed to
stop the c hain if kickback occurs. Thechain
brake activates automatically in the event of
kickback. The chain brake activates manu-
ally if the front handguardis pushedforward.
Thechain b rakeis disengagedby pulling the
front hand guard back toward the front han-
dle as far as possible.
CHAIN TENSION
It is n ormal for anew ch ain to stre tch during first
30 minutes of operation. Y o u should check
your chain tension frequ ently. See CHAIN
TENSION un de r th e ASSEMBL Y section.
WARNING:
Muffler is v ery hot dur-
ing andafteruse. Do nottouch t hemuffler or
allow combustible material such as dry
grass or fuel to do so.
