6. Slide the chain between theh ousing
and the sprocket. Place chain
around the sprocket and fit the drive
links into the guide bar groove and
then around guide bar nose.

7. Hold the guide bar against the saw
frameand installthebar clampplate.
Be sure the tab on the bar clamp
plate is toward the rear of bar.

8. Secure the guide bar and b ar clamp
plate with the bar nuts; tighten finger
tight only.
CAUTION: If saw chain is installed
backwards, the saw will vibrate exces-
sively and will not cut wood.

STORAGE
WARNING: Perform the following
steps after each use:
S Allow the motor to cool be fore storing
or transporting.
S Store chain sawand extension cord in
a well ventilated area
S Store chain saw with all guards in
place and position chain saw so that
any sharp object cannot accidentally
cause injury.
S Storec hains aw unplugged,welloutof
the reach of children.
SEASONAL STORAGE
Prepare your unit for storage at the
end of the season or if it will not be
used for 30 days or more.
If your chai n saw is to be st ored for a
peri od of time:
S Clean it t hor oughly before lengthy stor-
age.
S Stor e in a clean dry area.
S Lightly oil external metal surfaces and
guide bar.
S Oil the chain and wrap it in heav y pa-
per or cloth.
S Use bar sheath to cover bar.
