INSTALLING THE HARNESS
WARNING: Always use the shoulder harness
when using the cutting blade to avoid serious
personal injury.
1. Push the strap through the centre of the buckle.
2. Pull the strap over the cross bar and down through
the slot in the buckle, Figure 4.
3. Put the harness on overhead and onto shoulder.
Snap it on to the support fitting, Figure 5.
4. Adjust length to fit the operator’s size. Pull tab to
lengthen, pull strap to shorten, Figure 6.

REMOVING AND INSTALLING CUTTING
HEAD GUARD
NOTE: Remove the cutting head guard when using the
unit as a brushcutter.
WARNING: The cutting head guard should
NOT be installed when operating the unit with
a blade. Remove the cutting head guard
before removing or installing the blade.
Remove the cutting head guard from the guard mount
by removing the three (3) screws with a flat blade
screwdriver, Figure 7. Store parts for future use.
NOTE: Install the cutting head guard when using the
unit as a grass trimmer.
WARNING: To avoid serious personal injury,
the cutting head guard SHALL be in place at
all times while operating the unit as a grass
trimmer.
Install the cutting head guard on the guard mount by
inserting the three (3) screws into the guard mount. Tighten
securely with a flat blade screwdriver, Figure 7.
