CULTIVATOR SAFETY
WARNING: Rotating tin es can ca u se
serious injury. K eep away from rotating tines.
Stop the engine and disconnect the spark plug
before unclogging tines or making repairs.
WARNING: Inspect the area to be
cultivatedbeforestartingtheunit. Removeall
debris and hard and sharp objects such as
rocks, vines, branches, rope, string, etc.
S Avoid heavy contact with solid objects that
might stop the t ines. If h eavy contact occurs,
stop the engine and inspect the unit for
damage.
S Never operate the cultivator without the tine
co ver in pl ace and properl y secured.
S Keep the tines and guard clear of debris.
S After strikinga foreignobject, stop theengine,
disconnect the spark p lug and inspect the
cultivator for damage . Repair before
restarting.
S Disconnect attachment from the drive engine
before cleaning t he tines w ith a h ose and
water t o r em ove a ny b uild--up. O il th etines to
prevent rust.
S Always wear gloves when servicing or
cleaning the tines. T he tines become very
sharp from use.
S Do not run unit at high speed unless
cultivating.

the spark plug wire is disconnected, and the
blade has stopped moving before removing

not grab or hold the unit bythe cutting blade.
WARNING: I nspect the area before

can ricochet, be thrown, or otherwise cause

S Do not use a cutting blade that is bent,
warped, cracked, broken or damaged i n any
other way. Have worn or damaged parts
replaced by your authorized service dealer .
S Always keep unit in front of your body. K eep
all parts of your body away from the cutting
blade.
S Keep the cutting blade and air vents clear of
